Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Additional Assessment Component — Business Alive Investigative Study worth 40%. Students respond to a common SEC brief released in term two of fifth year, complete an investigative study over a period of up to 20 hours, conduct, analyse and evaluate research using a variety of sources and perspectives, present informed perspectives, conclusions and/or recommendations, and submit a digital report in sixth year.
- Final examination: Written examination worth 60%, with separate Higher and Ordinary level examination papers. Differentiation is achieved through the learning demand, stimulus material and degree of structured support. · See current SEC examination arrangements
