- Assessment component: Mathematical investigation — report in a wide range of formats; three-week investigation using the problem-solving cycle; completed at the end of second year
- Additional component: Statistical investigation — report in a wide range of formats; three-week investigation using the statistical enquiry cycle; completed at the end of the first term of third year
- Assessment Task: required
- Assessment Task weighting: 10%
- Final examination: Two examination papers, one at Ordinary level and one at Higher level, set and marked by the State Examinations Commission · 2 hours
