Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Examples from my Student Language Portfolio — completed in second year; students select three texts, including at least one oral item, at least one item showing socio-cultural knowledge/intercultural awareness, varied presentation modes and a reflection for each item
- Additional component: Oral Communication Task — completed in third year; interview, role-play, presentation or conversation in response to stimulus material, with straightforward unscripted teacher follow-up questions
- Assessment Task: required
- Assessment Task weighting: 10%
- Final examination: One common-level State Examinations Commission written examination of up to two hours, including an aural stimulus; the aural component is allocated 35% of the SEC grade · Up to 2 hours
