Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Additional Assessment Component — Action Project worth 40%. Students respond to a common SEC brief, choose an action related to the brief, research and define the issue, plan, design and carry out the action, evaluate the work and reflect on the experience. Evidence of learning is submitted and assessed individually. The specification envisages up to 20 hours for this component.
- Final examination: Written examination worth 60%, assessed at Higher or Ordinary level. · See current SEC examination arrangements
