Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Putting the Pieces Together — one Classroom-Based Assessment with a choice of two approaches after the three strands: (1) Software Project, where teams of two or three develop, document, test, present and reflect on a final software project, with individual contribution assessed; or (2) Coding Portfolio, where the student assembles examples of work across the three strands. Suggested CBA time is 6–8 hours.
- Final examination: No SEC final examination for this NCCA short course; achievement is reported through ongoing assessment and the Classroom-Based Assessment in the JCPA.
