Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Additional Assessment Component — individual coursework assessment worth 30%. The SEC task requires the student to create an innovative computational artefact and report on the work and process. The task is set towards the end of term 1 of the second course year; approximately 10 weeks for completion is anticipated.
- Final examination: End-of-course examination worth 70%, at Higher or Ordinary level. It includes written and computer-based assessment of learning outcomes across the specification, including practical programming questions. · See current SEC examination arrangements
