Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Additional Assessment Component — Creativity in Practice Project worth 50%, based on a common SEC brief. Students create a short film or theatre work, document the creative process in a project journal, present the work to an audience, explain decisions and evaluate the result. Collaborative work is permitted, but each student submits individually. The specification envisages up to 25 hours for the project.
- Final examination: Written examination worth 50%, assessed at Higher or Ordinary level. Differentiation is achieved through the demands of questions, stimulus material and structured support. · See current SEC examination arrangements
