Official assessment structure
- Assessment component: Additional Assessment Component — Engineering Design and Manufacture Project worth 50%. Students respond individually to a common SEC brief, develop a unique solution and design folio, and research, develop, manufacture, test, evaluate and document their work. The project may take up to 45 hours and the common brief is issued in term 1 of the second course year.
- Final examination: Written examination worth 50%, assessed at Higher or Ordinary level. · See current SEC examination arrangements
