My name is Elaine Walsh, and I am the founder of Autism & Me.
This work is shaped by both professional experience and lived reality.
It comes from years of supporting individuals and families, and from a personal understanding of how complex and demanding daily life can become when systems do not align with real needs.

"Our daughter is not her diagnosis—she's one-of-a-kind perfection, with personality so vibrant, even her diagnosis takes a back seat!"
Family Impact
There were periods of time marked by sleepless nights, thinking about the future after my husband received a devastating diagnosis.
In those quiet hours, the uncertainty felt constant. It became clear how exposed families can be when support is fragmented and when too much depends on individuals to hold everything together.
From that point, I knew I needed to do something constructive. Not only to support my own family, but to create something that could help others facing similar challenges. Through this experience, I have seen how often families are left to navigate uncertainty on their own. Support can be inconsistent. Access can depend on persistence. Too much can rest on people who are already managing significant responsibility. My approach is grounded in clarity and practicality. I focus on strategies that can be used in everyday settings, not just in theory. The aim is to reduce anxiety, improve understanding, and create environments that are more predictable and supportive. Autism & Me reflects a commitment to doing this work in a structured, respectful, and sustainable way. It is not about short-term solutions. It is about building approaches that make a real difference over time.
