Multiple Means of Representation — The WHAT of Learning
Multiple Means of Representation addresses the cognitive dimension — how information and knowledge are presented to learners. Because learners perceive and understand information differently, educators should present content through multiple modalities (visual, auditory, tactile, digital), use clear and accessible language, provide options for comprehension such as pre-teaching vocabulary, using graphic organisers, or providing background knowledge, and ensure that materials are accessible to learners with sensory or physical disabilities.
