UDL 3.0 and Equity Themes

UDL Guidelines 3.0 addresses seven key equity themes that closely align with Ireland's Equal Status Acts (2000–2018): race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, socio-economic status, language, disability, citizenship and nationality, and identity and stereotypes. The updated guidelines explicitly address the need to surface and dismantle exclusionary practices, create time for community reflection, and use restorative justice approaches when exclusionary practices are uncovered.
